The first full week in March has been designated by Kiwanis International as Aktion Club Week. It’s intent is to promote Aktion Clubs, and to show the world that we are active in our communities.
Spring Training by Governor Jan Burch
Don’t worry…spring can’t be far behind after literally days of below zero temps. And with spring, comes baseball. Did you know that all 30 Major League Baseball teams will begin play on the same day in 2018? March 29. This is the first time this has happened since 1968! And their spring training begins February 21.
And it’s time for our Kiwanis leaders to gather for Spring Training. This year, instead of our traditional District Mid-Year Conference Rally, we will be holding two regional Leadership Summits.
Saturday, February 10, Marriott Conference & Convention Hotel, 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines (off I-80) OR
Saturday, February 17, Holiday Inn Southwest Omaha, 3650 S 72nd St, Omaha (just off I-80)
